What conditions does a room rose need?
The shrub will delight with beautiful flowering only if its owner observes a number of important conditions. This must be taken into account before deciding to purchase a rather capricious plant.
Of all the windows in the house, the pot is best placed on the southern windowsill, in extreme cases, the southeast window or the southwest window will do. In winter, unless the apartment is in the subtropics, you will have to turn on the phytolamp over the pot for 4-5 hours a day, without which the bush will drop the foliage. It doesn’t matter, but enjoying the beauty of a rose in winter will not work, you have to wait for spring.
The optimum temperature range for active vegetation is within + 18 ... + 25 °. In summer and in the off-season, the pot is best placed on a balcony or loggia, so as not to restrict the flow of fresh air. In the absence of such an opportunity, you will have to regularly air the room for several hours a day.
A room rose does not tolerate waterlogging of the soil, but its overdrying is destructive for it. Normally, the soil in the pot should always be slightly moist. This means that you have to follow this every day. If there is no time for this, then you can resort to a wick irrigation system and you need to do this while transplanting the purchased bush from the store container to a permanent one.
Completes the list of the most important conditions - air humidity. If the room level is stable below 60%, then you will have to regularly (morning and evening) spray the crown with boiled water at room temperature to prevent leaf fall.
Those who are not afraid of the need to pay much attention to the indoor flower, indoor rose will delight with abundant and renewable flowering, as well as a pleasant aroma.
